The Last Boy
2019
Kirlian Pictures / PA Film Developments
Inspired by the works of 13th century Sufi mystic and poet, Rumi, The Last Boy is a sci-fi/fantasy thriller filmed in 2019. It was written and directed by Perry Bhandal and starred Luke Goss, Peter Guinness and Flynn Allen.
The Last Boy follows Sira, a young boy sent on a journey by his dying mother with the world’s end imminent. To bring this mysterious story to life, Firle Place was chosen due to the variety of locations on offer. The exterior of the manor house, its courtyards and outbuildings, and the surrounding parkland and woodland were all cleverly used by the director and cinematographer to give the movie its distinctive aesthetic.
We’re very proud of the productions that Firle has been chosen to support over the years. Playing a part in their success has been a huge honour. The variety of spaces at Firle Place and across the wider estate make it an extremely attractive option for filming projects, as a corporate event venue, or as a location for marketing and brand activations.
